Our District

Located in central Pennsylvania, the DuBois Area School District serves families throughout Clearfield and Jefferson counties. Specifically, our schools draw students from DuBois, Falls Creek, Troutville and Bloom Township, Brady Township, Huston Township, Sandy Township, Union Township, Reynoldsville, Sykesville, and Winslow Township.

Our curriculum adheres to Pennsylvania state standards in all subjects, including the core areas of language arts, mathematics, science, and social studies. We also offer instruction in art, music, and physical education. Students at DuBois ASD may also enroll in high ability programming, advanced placement courses, dual/college credit courses, band, choir, theatre arts, career and technical education courses, and world languages.

College and Career Readiness

We are committed to “teaching today’s learners to be tomorrow’s leaders,” and part of the way we do it is by  preparing our students to succeed after high school—whether that be in college or a career.

Dual-Credit Options
Thanks to our partnerships with area colleges and universities, like Penn State Dubois, Clarion University OnlineLock Haven University Clearfield, and Mount Aloysius College, DuBois ASD offers area juniors and seniors dual-enrollment opportunities. Dual enrollment allows students to receive high school credit at the same time they take college courses (often at a discounted rate). These credits not only save families money, but they prepare our students for the rigors of college coursework.

Career Technical Education
High school students from DuBois ASD may also opt to take advantage of career-technical education through Jeff Tech. CTE courses provide students with the technical skills they need to land a well-paying job directly out of high school. Consider Jeff Tech if your son or daughter is interested in any of the following:

  • Automotive Technologies
  • Building Trades
  • Computer Technologies
  • Cosmetology
  • Culinary Arts
  • Digital Media Arts
  • Drafting, Design, and Engineering
  • Health Assisting
  • HVAC/Refrigeration
  • Small Machine Repair
  • Welding

Virtual Academy

We proudly offer a "cyber education option" for families who will benefit from flexible school scheduling and at-your-own-pace learning. Through Virtual Academy, students make up missed credits, receive tutoring and counseling, and/or become full-time, public homeschool students. We provide this service free of charge and manage the entire system locally. We:

  • Set up appropriate technology
  • Provide online courseware
  • Provide technical support
  • Give direct access to your teachers
  • Arrange for one-on-one tutoring
