DuBOIS – Twenty lucky students at Juniata Elementary School got to throw a pie in a teacher’s face recently thanks to a community service project sponsored by the school’s PTA.

The PTA organized a food drive at the school for the local food pantry. Each student who brought in an item to donate got their name put in a drawing to throw a pie at a teacher.

Students donated 700 items and 20 were chosen to “pie” one of the eight teachers who volunteered. Those teachers were Elisha Burns, Carol McLaughlin, Amy Sansom, Sue Shaffner, Andy Collins, Jim Thompson, Josh Moose and Chris Sheloski.
