DAHS science team competes at ACS Chemistry Olympiad

The DuBois Area High School Science Team recently competed at the American Chemical Society (ACS) Regional Chemistry Olympiad at State College on March 22. DuBois Area High School students competing in the event included Paul Brittian, Nick Cotter,  Laura Fatula, Peter Foradora, Daniel Grassi, Amir Hassan, Shad Hassan, Joe Hnat, Nicholas Hoover, Aliana Horm, Jacob Landini, Mackenzie Lines, Ian McCoy, Shannon McFadden, Molly Nosker, Mackenzie Obenreder, Alexis Ray, Drew Reiter, Sarah  Snyder, Ben Suslow, Alexis Wray, and Bethany Zaffuto.  Ben Suslow was first and received a $100 prize and Nicholas Hoover received $50 for second place. The testing materials, as well as food and beverages were provided by the ACS. The group was accompanied by Science Team coaches Douglas Brennan and Mike Mancuso.
