Birthday Books ... DONATE A BOOK!
Parents can help out our school library just by donating one book! Families can participate by donating books for the library in honor of their Oklahoma Elementary student's birthday. We call the program: "Birthday Books." All books will be labeled inside the front cover with the name, the current school year, the child's birth date and age. All donated books will also have a birthday sticker on the spine to easily identify them as "Birthday Books" on the library shelf.
A list of each previous month's Birthday Books will appear in the Oklahoma Express newsletter featuring title, author and the name of the child. A complete list of donated books will be maintained on the PTA website.
The Oklahoma Elementary library wish list is comprised of titles, authors and books that our librarian knows our children will enjoy. It is a great starting place for families to begin their selection, but Birthday Books are not limited to the wish list. The wish list can be found on the PTO tab of the Oklahoma Elementary website or in the school library.
